Denise
Stewart
Jul 23, 1968 — Jun 7, 2021
Denise Stewart began this life on July 23, 1968 in Huntsville, Alabama born to the late Louise Pickett Davis and J. E. Davis. She departed this life on June 7, 2021 at home. Denise knew without Jesus Christ in her life, she was limited to a narrow human perspective shaped by our culture, upbringing, personal preferences, and tendencies. But when Jesus lives in you, you're equipped to live by faith in Him who loves you and gave His life for you.
She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Jarmin Alexander, Sr.
Throughout Denise's life, she was a smart and talented person. She loved to sing and dance. At an early age, music became her passion, hoping one day she would become a great songstress. She loved doing hair and was a great hair stylist. Denise was a very compassionate person who enjoyed meeting new people and could build a rapport with anyone. She was well known by many. She met no strangers and would give her last to help anyone in need. For years, Denise drove for the United Cab Company and if any reward could be given, she would win because she never missed a day of work. She was a devoted worker and was loved by coworkers and peers. Denise was a loving mother who loved her children and would do anything to help them. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was very involved in their lives.
Denise leaves behind to cherish her memories: a husband, Larry "Mike" Stewart, Sr.; her father, J. E. Davis; three daughters, Branika Davis-Alexander, Lanisha Davis, and Lenika Stewart, one son, Larry "Lil Mike", Jr.; five grandsons, Jarmin Alexander, Jr., Adrian Alexander, Jr., Antonio Alexander, Jacari Davis, and D'Arious Stewart; two granddaughters, Zytirane Settlers, and Ka'laija Stewart; one sister, Mary Davis; six brothers, Corey Davis (Willie Mae), Jason Davis, Sr., Christopher Davis, Sr. (Shondeckieon), Cornelius Davis, Benjamin Davis (Amberlin), and Daniel Davis; ten aunts, Mary Clift, Sallie Newton (Ray), Betty Bibbs, Joyce Pickett, Anna McDonald, Rose Elliot, Milan "Rebaby" Braden, Jeanette Young, and Lois Garner; four uncles, Tommie Pickett, Jimmy Braden, Robert Braden "Bob", and Rufus Braden; seven nieces, Joyee Davis, Leah Davis, Faith Davis, Charity Davis, Shareyn Davis, Shawntate Davis, and De'Asia Lords; five nephews, Jason Davis, Jr., Daonta Davis Deonta Davis, Christopher Davis, Jr., and Jeremy Davis; and a host of loving cousins, family, and friends.
