Catina Marie Douglas was born on June 10, 1958 to the late Lena Woodall and Samuel Kirby. She entered into eternal life on August 13, 2021. She loved the Lord and accepted him at a very early age at Durrett Avenue Baptist Church. While in Huntsville, she was a member of the Madkins Chapel CPCA.  She was fun, loving, and always was the life of the party.

Catina was a person who lived every day to the fullest and if she was asked how she was doing she would reply" I am taking it one day at a time". She is preceded in death by: her mother; her father; a brother, Samuel Johnson; and two uncles, Henry Johnson, Jr. and Herbert Johnson.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: a son, James Douglas; loving daughters, Dana Douglas, Lanette Sutton (Clifford), and Robin Douglas-Johnson (Patricia); grandchildren Keyonta Douglas, Tyler Jordan, Adam Thompson II, Jalen Sutton, Brian Steger II, Madison Sutton, and Zaydrien Douglas-Johnson; great granddaughter, Kayliegh Douglas; ex-husband and friend, Robert Douglas; aunts/sisters, Hennrine Howard (John), Margaret Hill, Juanita Avert (Teddy), Evonne Beasley, Angela Mitchell, Evelyn Scott (Joseph); and uncles/brothers, Michael Lane (Charlene) and Kenneth Lane.

Public viewing for Ms. Catina Douglas will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Gamble Funeral Home (1311 South Liberty Street - Hopkinsville, KY. ~ https://www.gamblefuneralhome.com/ ) with Reverend Norris Mills officiating.  Interment will be in Double Barn Cemetery (Herndon, KY).
