Obituary

Ms. Abigail Fran Coffman , also known to many as "Abby" , was born November 13, 1986 in Stevenson, AL to Ms. Patricia Johnson and the late Mr. Jerry Lewis Coffman.  She departed this life on Monday, September 14, 2020 at the UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

Abby attended North Jackson High School in Stevenson, AL.  She later lived in Bridgeport, AL, Scottsboro, AL, then moved to Huntsville, AL.  While living in Huntsville, AL, she attended Virginia College and received her Medical Assistant Diploma on June 20, 2014.  In addition, she was presented with a Certificate on July 20, 2014 where she graduated with 'HONORS' having an overall GPA of 3.80 for the period of June 27, 2012 to June 20, 2014.  Because of this great honor, and understanding the meaning of hard work and was always willing to go the "extra distance" necessary to achieve academic excellence, she received another certificate, on July 20, 2014, that stated " Abigail Coffman is a member of the National Honor Society Alpha Beta Kappa by election of the Chapter at the Virginia College at Huntsville Sigma of Alabama".

Abby's job titles and places of employment in Huntsville, AL were:  Nursing at Huntsville Hospital; Medical Records Clerk at Floyd E. "Tut" Fann State Veterans Home; Medical Assistant at the Rehabilitation and Neurological Services, LLC; and Instructional Assistant at Huntsville City Schools.

During the years that Abby shared with John Moore, Jr. in Huntsville, AL, they both joined and attended the New Life Christian Praise and Worship Center under the Leadership of Bishop G. Calvin Boone.  Not only did Bishop Boone preach and teach, but also provided them spiritual guidance while under his leadership.

Abby leaves to cherish her memories: two precious daughters, Diamond Yuvette Moore (John E. Moore, Jr. – father) of Huntsville, AL and Zoey MaKailyn Coffman (John Wilson – father) of Bridgeport, AL; mother:  Ms. Patricia Johnson of Bridgeport, AL; three brothers:  Jessie Coffman of Ardmore, TN, Jerry Coffman, Jr. of Gardiner, ME; and Nathan Coffman of Huntsville, AL; five sisters:  Crystal Thompson of Jasper, TN, April Coffman of Bridgeport, AL, Cassandra, Chasity and Brittney Coffman, of Gardiner, ME; a special God mother, Jessie Y. Moore of Huntsville, AL; a special BFF,  Caitlin Maupin of Toney, AL; other close family/friends, Georgia Moore, Taccara Clay, Tiquoya Dubose; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Ms. Abigail Coffman will be Friday, September 18, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. with Bishop G. Calvin Boone officiating.
