She departed this life on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at her home in Berkley, Alabama surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by: her husband Ernest Taylor, Jr.; her grandson, Laterrius "Bo" Taylor; three brothers,  Todd Steger, Henry Steger, and Bobby Steger all of Huntsville, Alabama; six sisters, Susie Doss, Dines Steger both of Huntsville, Alabama, Julia Collier of Berkley, Alabama; Julie Taylor, Linda Green and Mollie Leslie all of Detroit, Michigan.

Mother Taylor confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life she moved her membership to Liberty Primitive Baptist church and served as a faithful member and mother. She later became a member of Acklin Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where she attended until her health started to fail.

Mother Taylor was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Ernest Taylor, Jr., and to this union five children were born.

She leaves loving, devoted and cherished memories to: one son, Larry Taylor (Sandra) of Conyers, GA; four daughters, Winder Taylor of Berkley, AL; Elaine Fleming (Dillard) of Huntsville, AL; Freda Alexander of Berkley, AL, and  Youlanda Cooper (James) of Harvest, AL; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren, two sisters, Patricia Collier (Richendel) of Maysville, AL and Emma Walker of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Charles Steger (Jeanette) of Huntsville, AL and Larry Steger (Mattie) of Huntsville, AL; one aunt, Bertha Humphrey of Berkley, AL; Gartrell Drake, a devoted and caring person who was just like a son to her; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside service for Mrs. Margaret S. Taylor will be Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Berkley Community Cemetery with the Reverend Joe Kelly officiating.
