Obituary

Mrs. Gladys Jean Townsend Nwalozie was born to the late Olivia and Jimmy Townsend, Sr. She was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Townsend, Jr.

She confessed hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Pastor Ross L. Payton where she stayed until transitioning to Warren, Michigan.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving, caring, devoted husband Cletus Nwalozie; two sons, Quincy Townsend of Tecumseh, MI and Christopher Nwalozie of Warren, MI; three grandchildren, Vylette Townsend, Scarlette Townsend, and Sebastian Townsend all of Tecumseh, MI; one sister, Angelia (Johnnie) Cooper of Athens, AL; one brother, Henry (Catherine) Townsend of Huntsville, AL; one sister-in-law, Mary Njoku of Lagos, Nigeria; one brother-in-law, Lawrence Amaechi of Lagos, Nigeria; four uncles Henry Kelly, Walter Kelly, Sr., Jericho Kelly all of Huntsville, AL and Bishop Jerry (Elizabeth) Townsend of Huntsville, AL; four aunts, Linda Gay Watkins of Madison, AL, Inell Kelly, Min. Frances Sigmund and Stella Scott all of Huntsville, AL.

She leaves to cherish one very special love that she sees as her daughter-in-law Dominique Hoffman.

She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, friends and cousins.

Graveside service for Mrs. Gladys Jean Townsend Nwalozie will be Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens with Bishop Jerry Townsend officiating.
