Obituary

Mrs. Allicyn Charisse Webster was born December 8, 1957 to Marshall and Mary Cowser in Centre, AL. She was the eldest of three daughters and was affectionately referred to as "Rissie," Leader of the Pack. Charisse confessed her belief in the Lord, accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined Union Chapel Missionary Church in Huntsville, AL under the guidance of Rev. L. F. Lacey. She served faithfully in the choir and attended Sunday School regularly.

Charisse spent most of her formative years in Huntsville, AL. She attended Calvary Hills and Wood Elementary Schools, Davis Hills Jr. High and graduated from J. O. Johnson High School in 1976. Charisse continued her academic post-secondary studies at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. She often said her mission was to "find a good husband." She accomplished that mission in one year and graduated with honors when she landed the best catch of her life, David L. Webster, Jr.

Charisse was a leader. She led her family to Union Chapel, her softball team to numerous championships, her Madison County 4-H Club as a multiple Blue-ribbon winner in the Annual Chicken Barbecue and David L. Webster, Jr. down the aisle.

On October 2, 1977, she was united with David in Holy Matrimony. This union brought forth two children Davida and Alan. This was Charisse's most rewarding and satisfying leadership role as she devoted her life to her family. Charisse touched many lives during her visit on Earth. She will be missed by many.

On January 31, 2021, God sent his angels to escort his child home freeing her from the tribulations of her life. Charisse's husband and soulmate of 42 years and her parents preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memories are: her loving and honoring children, Davida Latrisse Webster and Dr. Alan David Webster; a very special daughter-like niece, Arika Nykole Jackson; two faithful and loving sisters, Adrienne Denise Cowser Jackson and Elise Nichelle Cowser Ballard, Marietta, GA; one brother, Dr. Marshall James (Annie) Belmer; two nieces, Sabre' and Zana Belmer, Calumet, IL; one great-niece, Zharia Elise Josey; two brothers-in-law, Curtis (Ann) Webster of Durham, NC and Melvin (Valerie) Webster, Columbia, TN; four sisters-in-law, Lizzie Webster, Lena (Alvin) Lacy, Angie Webster, all of Columbia, TN and Teresa (Donald Ray) Greene, Franklin, TN; a number of nephews and nieces; one uncle, Jimmy (Helen) Brooks; one aunt, Annette Brooks Wallace, Montgomery, AL; and one life-long friend Sadie Crutcher.
