William Lee Toney was born June 25, 1969 in Nashville, TN to the late William Lee Osborne and Linda Toney Norvell. He departed this life on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

William graduated from J. O. Johnson High School in 1989. William was known as "Big Will" by family, friends and many restaurants in Huntsville and the surrounding area. He furthered his education at Le Cordon Bleu, the college of Culinary Arts in Atlanta, GA. Chef William continued his career as a chef until his health declined.

He met and married Ericka Rigney with a united bond of 23 years. William is preceded in death by his father, William Osborne; his mother Linda Norvell; his brothers, Christopher and Legree Osborne.

He leaves to cherish a loving devoted wife, Erika Rigney; two daughters, Leighandra Rigney and LaRoyah Toney; son, Brian "Saadat" Smith (son-in-law); three grandchildren; Brileigh Smith, Braxton Toney, and Brayden Smith; mother-in-law, Gracie Rigney, all of Huntsville, AL; a brother, William Lee Osborne, Jr. of Nashville, TN; sister, Marquis Lee of Huntsville, AL; an uncle Robert Toney of Berkley, AL; three aunts, Willie Mae Devine of Nashville, TN, Cora Lee Toney and Glenda Jackson of Huntsville, AL; five very special friends, Larrye Burks, Darrell Woodard, Fred Sandifer, Eddie Ramano, and Shawn Fearn; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. William Lee Tone y will be Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
