Mr. Tommy Lee Rice was born March 14, 1955 to the late Major Rice, Sr. and Bertha Lee Rice. Tommy Lee departed this life on September 7, 2020 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.

Tommy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age in 1969 and united with Hope Community Church under Bishop Charles Rogers on April 16, 2017 until his death.

Tommy will be preceded in death with his siblings: Milton Rice, James Toney, Louise Rice-Matthews and Major Rice, Jr. and an uncle, Willie Fletcher.

Tommy Lee was a great man and would do anything he could to help anyone, he came in contact with. He also worked for different moving companies and was a man of all trades. He was a great mechanic and would fix anything he put his hands on. He was a hard-working man his entire life just like his father. He loves his family and everyone he came in contact with, He lived his life to the fullest and love to dance and could cut a rug! He loves his children and grandchildren dearly and spoke of them often.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: daughter, LaToya Jennings of Huntsville, AL; sons: Keion Lacy of Huntsville, AL, Tommy Bone and Latrez (Kirsti) Wike of Harvest, AL. grandchildren, Tyrese Parks, Marico (Dee) Watkins of Huntsville, AL, Jerimiah Mason, Kya Wike and Malik Wike of Harvest, AL; great grandchildren, Tristian Watkins, Ma'Kenzie Watkins of Huntsville, AL; brothers: Major (Nancy) Rice, Larry (Erica) Rice of Harvest, AL, Steven (Rose) Moore, Lorenzo Rice, Michael Rice, Billy Ray Rice of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Dorothy (Glen) King, Carolyn (Terry) Rice, Malinda (Rexal) Jackson, Betty Mae Clinton, Minister Linda Harris of Huntsville, AL, Hattie Mae Rice of Toney, AL, Terry Rice of Elkmont, AL, Bertha (Frankie) Seay of Meridianville, AL, Barbara Rice-Binford of Decatur, AL, uncle, Jessie Fletcher of Huntsville, AL, aunt, Marie (Rye) Jacob of Huntsville, AL; a very special niece: Shaquella Burton of Huntsville, AL; a special friend, Dannette (Cat) Redmond of Huntsville, AL; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Tommy L. Rice will be Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Community Church with Bishop Dr. Charles Rodgers officiating. Interment will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.
