Marvin Lashon Derrick was born on January 27, 1977 to the parents of Mary Nance Derrick and the late Harold Derrick in Huntsville, AL. He departed this life on October 17, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital

Marvin confessed Christ as his savior at an early age. He graduated from J. O. Johnson High School in 1995.  He was employed with the Toyota Motor Company for several years until his health failed him.

His caring heart and giving spirit could be witnessed on a daily basis by the smile on his face to the ones who knew him well.

Preceding him in death is one aunt, Alice Petty.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memories: a loving mother, Mary Derrick; one brother: Harold Derrick, Jr., one sister, Keshia Derrick, all of Huntsville, AL; two nephews, Adarias Derrick and Joushwa Derrick; one niece, Jaylah Johnson; six uncles, George Nance (Hassie), James Nance, Kenneth Nance (Nancy), Howard Nance, Wendell Nance (Wanda), and Jeff Steger (Gloria); four aunts, Joyce Johnson, Gloria Nance, Diane Fletcher (Wille), Temmie Winn (Terris);  and a host of loving relatives, cousins, and friends.

Graveside service for Mr. Marvin Lashon Derrick will be Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens with Pastor Curtis Strong officiating.
