Willie Cliff,
Jr
Aug 8, 1963 — Jan 9, 2025
Mr. Willie Cliff, Jr. was born August 8, 1963, in Madison County, Alabama, to the late Fannie Mae Thomas and Willie Cliff. He was baptized January 2, 2025 at Crestwood Medical Center by Pastor Trevor Briggs. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
He was married to Elder Charlene Cliff for 34 years. They divorced on November 22, 2022. From their union, Brandon was born and Willie gained a stepson, Robert Winston (Jessica).
Willie was employed by Giles and Kendall Inc. for many years and loved by many. Willie was known for his generosity to the community. He and his circle of friends would always make sure that families who lost loved ones, were supplied with food. He loved well-behaved children, college football, and basically sports in general. He was a die-hard Auburn fan and "War Eagle, baby" was his motto.
His hobby was fishing. He was a defender of the defenseless. He would give you the shirt off his back and his last two dollars if it was needed. His family, to him, was bigger than life! He loved to make people laugh and was one of those people who brought joy when he walked into a room. Willie was a caregiver for his brother, Robert "Bill" Thomas and Bill wanted everyone to know just how much he loved him. He never met a stranger and would always make the time for whomever he encountered. He will be missed by all he touched in one way, or another. Jesus was Willie's refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), Willie believed and knew that until the end.
He is survived by: two sons, Robert (Jessica) Winston and Brandon Winston; one sister, Margaret Johnson; three brothers, Levi Thomas, Howard Cliff, and Robert (Ora Lee) Thomas; one very special friend/fiancé, Melissa Hoover; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
