Mr. William "Big" Fletcher was born January 23, 1931 in Madison County, Alabama, to the late Mattie Sullivan Kelly and Albert Fletcher. He departed his life on October 23, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital. He was preceded in death by his daughter Judy Fletcher.

William was united in holy matrimony to Jimmie Lee Horton Fletcher on December 24, 1956, a union that lasted for sixty-five years.

He confessed hope in Christ at an early age. He then studied the Bible to seek the truth in Jehovah. He worked at the Huntsville Manufacturing for twenty-one years until he retired. In his free time, he was on the bank fishing and playing cards. He was a loving, kind, caring, compassionate, and sincere man who loved his family dearly.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Jimmie Lee Fletcher; four daughters, Debbie Jean Moore and Jennifer (Cecil) Collier of Gurley, AL, Twana (Curtis) Crawford of Fort Worth, TX and Kathy Renee Jolly of Huntsville, AL; five sons, Willie Lee (Diana) Fletcher, William (Carmen) Fletcher, Jr., Michael D. (Samira) Fletcher of Huntsville, AL, James William Fletcher of Gurley, AL and David Jason (Stephanie) Fletcher of Christiana, TN; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; one aunt, Jenny Mae Humphrey of Huntsville, AL; brother-in-law, Joe Bill Horton; sisters-in-law, Gladys Horton Taylor of Harvest, AL and Laura Horton of Huntsville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. William Fletcher will be Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
