Tyson Eugene Green, Sr. was born on July 20, 1976, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Vernita McNeil (Green) and Ronnie Robinson. The unexpected death of Tyson on October 16, 2021, brought grief and sorrow to all who knew him.
In October, 1982, Tyson relocated to Detroit, Michigan with his mother and stepfather, Marshall McNeil, Jr. He and his family became members of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord and was baptized on February 7, 1993.
Tyson attended Martin Luther King Magnet School and graduated in 1994. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in November, 1995. He graduated from the Marine Corps Base at Camp LeJeune in Paris Island, North Carolina. From 1996 until 1998, Tyson was stationed at 29 Palms, California Military Base as a Food Service Specialist. He was also awarded the National Defense Service Medal: Rifle Expert Badge.
As a result of working in food service in the Marine Corps, Tyson continued working in the food service industry and construction before starting his own remodeling business, Nashville HandyPros, Nashville, Tennessee.
Tyson adored his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving parents, Vernita and Marshall McNeil, Jr.; father, Ronnie Robison (Donna); four children: Tyson Green, Jr., Mariah and Makayla Green (MI), Paris Hill (MS); four siblings; Fredrick Parker (AL), Afften McNeil-Ordon (GA), Marshall McNeil III (TN), Ashley Robinson (GA); grandfathers: Monroe Harkey, Sr. (AL) and Marshall McNeil, Sr. (MI); aunts and uncles, Jacquelyn Smith, Portia Mitchell, Eleanor Snodgrass, Alfred Smith, Ronald Green, Floyd Green, Jr. (AL); Bernadette Coleman, Majorie McNeil, (MI); Sandy Walker (Bennie), (FL); Debrorah Beasley, Monroe Harkey, Jr. (GA), Marsetta Bearden (AL), Shane Butler (Lamar) (FL), and Kevin Harkey (LA); nephews, Fredrick, Jr., Ethan (AL), Isaiah (LA), Issac, Elijah, Josiah (GA); a host of loving cousins and friends; and loving friend, Tamela Ensrud (TN).

will be Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
