Obituary

Sharon Denice Douglas Pride was born April 28, 1961 in Madison County, AL to the late Elder Nathaniel E. Douglas and Mrs. Mable H. Douglas. "Pookie" as we affectionately call her, passed this life on November 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Sharon attended schools in the Huntsville City Schools system.  She confessed hope in Christ and was baptized at Douglas Tabernacle Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Elder Robert Rogers, Sr.

Sharon was preceded in death by: her daughter, Ms. Chambre' M. Pride; four sisters, Ms. Betty L. Allison, Ms. Josie M. Jones, Ms. Irene Douglas, and Ms. Patricia A. Douglas; three brothers, Mr. Willie L. Douglas, Mr. Robert E. Douglas and Mr. Edward E. Douglas; and three nephews, Mr. Harold Battle, Mr. Gregory D. Douglas,,, and Mr. Wayne Battle.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: one daughter, Ms. Ebone' D. Pride (Herbert); three sons, Mr. Brent S. (Jasmine) Pride, Mr. Travin D. Pride (Caniesha), Mr. Keri D. Pride (Kyla); eight grandchildren, Serenity Pride, Brailey Pride, Brent Pride, Jr., Jeremiah Pride, Treasure Pride, Messiah Pride, Emery Pride and Kamari Pride, all from Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Mr. Elmo L. Douglas and Mr. Terry W. (Roberta) Douglas both of Huntsville, AL; four sisters, Ms. Elaine Douglas, Ms. Kemolin Y. Douglas, Mrs. Mildred L. (Brian) Hooks all of Huntsville, AL and Mrs. Audrey (Morris) Harris of Madison, AL; two aunts, Ms. Julia Gordon and Ms. Willie Jean Pope, both of Huntsville, AL; two sisters-in-law, Ms. Diana Douglas of Madison, AL and Ms. Kris Sandra Douglas of Huntsville, AL; a very special friend, Mr. Phillip Baker; and a host of nephews, nieces, others relatives and friends

Funeral service for Mrs. Sharon Douglas Pride will be Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Association Tabernacle with Elder Dr. Mario Ford officiating.  Mrs. Pride will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to funeral service. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
