Obituary

SFC (Ret.) Frederick K. White "aka" Ricky was born October 29, 1960 in the Granite Capital of the world, Elberton, Georgia.  He joined and was baptized at an early age at White's Chapel CME Church.  He graduated in 1978 from Elbert County High School.  Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served for 20 years.

After retirement, Ricky made his home in Huntsville, Alabama along with his daughter, Lauren.  He was a faithful member of Blackburn Chapel CPCA where he was an active deacon, male choir member, and served on Usher Board #3.  He was also the "special" deacon to the Mother's Board at Blackburn Chapel.  At the time that he received his "wings", Ricky was employed for 23 years with ADTRAN as a Supervisor of New Products and Customer Product Services.

He was passionate about his daughter, Lauren, and enjoyed cooking and he was the "master" D. J. Ricky's greatest accomplishment was being a "doting" dad to Lauren.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Carolyn White; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Azalean White; and his sister, Melody White.

Ricky leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Lauren Woodard White of Huntsville, AL; three brothers, Anthony "Tony" Adams (Bridget) of Jacksonville, FL, Darrell White (Shelby) and Vincent White, both of Atlanta, GA; one uncle, Harold White (Barbara) of Nashville, TN; two aunts, Susie Allen of Atlanta, GA and Brenda Saddler of Elberton, GA; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
