Larnell McComb Jones was born to the late Rev. Jimmie Lee McComb and Lucy Ann Matthews McComb, who preceded her in death, on March 8, 1938. On January 18, 2022, the Lord called His servant home.

Ms. Jones confessed hope in Christ at an early age.  In 1990, she was ordained under leadership of Pastor Anthony Stewart. She traveled and ministered for many years. Larnell had a love for God's people and was a caregiver for many years.

In 1956, she was joined in holy matrimony with Thomas Joe Jones. She was blessed with six children. Four brothers preceded her in death: Jimmie McComb, James Lee McComb, Shelton McComb and Hollis McComb.

She leaves to cherish her memories: six children, Jeffery Jones,  Teresa (Andrew) Jones, Tonya (David) Jones-Hurt all of Huntsville, AL, Kenneth Jones, Carl (Carol) Jones, and Anthony (Lorraine) Jones, all of Los Angeles, CA; eleven grandchildren, Alvina, Nigel, Tatiana, David, Kimberly, Kiana, Quincy, Kenneth Jr., Imani, Alana and Daruis; seven siblings, Edith (Richard) Barnes of Atlanta, GA, Arch Bishop Carl (Christine) McComb of Newton, AL, Evangelist Hattie McComb, Nashville, TN, Bruce (Betty) McComb, George (Johnnie) McComb, Bishop Mattie M. (Edward) Gaines-Williams, and Sheila Kay Burress, all of Huntsville, AL; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service for the Reverend Larnell McComb Jones will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
