Honoring the Life of Mrs. Quentin Mitchell Taylor
Mrs. Quentin Mitchell Taylor , a beloved mother, grandmother, and Friend, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 9, 1973, in Morgan County to the late Mary Lynn Mitchell.
Quentin accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of The Pentecostal House of Prayer in Decatur, Alabama, under the leadership of the late Bishop A.C. Strong.
Quentin was known for her selflessness and dedication to her loved ones. She brought joy to those around her and often prepared delicious meals. Additionally, she had a passion for gardening and spent many hours tending to her beautiful plants.
Quentin was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, Rev.Tommie Mitchell Sr., Dorothy Orr Neil Mitchell, and her late husband, Bobby Green.
Quentin leaves to cherish her memories: Three Children: Cortney (Tyrone) Brown, Tyeisha Taylor, and Tyrel Taylor. Siblings: Deborah (Anthony) Coleman, Gilbert (Demetrice) Mitchell, James (Amanda) Sharpley, Tenisha Sharpley, and Martez Sharpley. One Step-Sister: Carlotta Sterling. Aunts: Mary (Benny) Foster, Huntsville, Alabama, and Rodella Mitchell, Decatur, Alabama. Four Grandchildren: Torris Orr, Maurice Orr, Zendaya Orr, and Dakota Taylor Hill. Her special girls: Jeffekia Lampkin and Keyonna Ervin. A host of nieces,
nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service for Ms. Quentin Mitchell Taylor will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Gilbert Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood University Memorial Gardens.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM- 7:00 PM at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
