Pamela Y. Hammonds was born to the late Sandra K. Baker and Johnnie Lee Hammonds on June 28, 1971.  She confessed her life to Christ at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Gurley, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her sister Tammy T. Hammonds.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Ledarrius Hammonds; a daughter, Arrogance Hammonds; one grandchild, Khamauree Hammonds; three sisters, Celestine Burney (Ricky), Sanaria Hammonds, and Diana Hammonds; three brothers, D'wight Hammonds, Vincent Hammonds (Janet), and Ricky Hammonds; and grandmother, Lucille Hammonds.

Pamela had a host of nieces and nephews that she loved and adored.  She was their second mom, and when she became a grandmother and a great aunt, she was the best. Pamela was a good-hearted person – she couldn't tell anyone no.  If she had it, you had it.

Funeral service for Ms. Pamela Y. Hammonds will be Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Hambrick Cemetery
