Ollie
Mccaulley
Jul 27, 1930 — Oct 18, 2022
Mr. Ollie McCaulley was born July 27, 1930, to Robert and Mary McCaulley in Huntsville, AL. He departed this life on October 18, 2022, at AHC Millennium Nursing Home. He was a part of a family of ten children. Eight of them preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife Lucy Mary McCaulley, four sons: Frederick Dale, Jeffery Wayne, Cleatus Rodrigues and John Stanley, and one daughter Ollie Ann McCaulley Franklin.
Mr. McCaulley was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in the Korean War. After the war ended, he received an Honorable Discharge. Mr. McCaulley retired from the Railroad System. He was a man of many skills. There was nothing he could not repair. He was a carpenter, electrician and plumber. You name it, he could do it.
Mr. McCaulley was always smiling. He had a nick name for all his family, friends and some of his fellow church members.
Genesis 2:24 says, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Mr. McCaulley married Lucy Mary Pope; they truly became one. Whatever Pa said, Ma was there to back him up whole heartedly. You could not separate the two in their opinions. To their union, five sons were born. Mr. McCaulley was a good family man.
Mr. McCaulley was an active member of the Saint Mark Baptist Church. He was an active member of the Sunday School and served on various committees and with various organizations within the church.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: a son, Elder Dr. Ollie M. McCaulley (Aurora Gonzales-McCaulley) of Palmdale, CA; one brother, Charles McCaulley (Wavie) of Columbus, GA; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Jimmie McCrary (Edith); one sister-in-law, Angela Woods (Mack), and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
