Murry Ann Birdsong was born November 6, 1947 to the late Mattie Sue Adams. Murry made her earthly transition to her heavenly home on September 27, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Elmore Birdsong; brother: James Thomas Adams, Sr.; nephew: James Thomas Adams, Jr. and Shelly Pryor.

Murry accepted Jesus at an early age. She was a faithful member of New Life Seventh-Day Adventist Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael Ross, Sr. until her health began to fail. She loved and kept Jesus Christ close to her heart.

She married her High School sweetheart, Elmore Birdsong, in 1965, and to this union, one beautiful child was born: Marcus Birdsong.

She was pioneer of integrating NASA and Redstone Arsenal where she retired. She was a dedicated, hard worker, and very well educated.

Her life was a testament to the power of compassion and she will be profoundly missed by all.

Murry leaves to cherish her precious memories: a loving son: Marcus Birdsong of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter-in-law: Latoya; three grandsons: Raquon, Ramelo, and Malachi; one granddaughter: Elise; two great-grandchildren: Navaughna and Kessiah all of Huntsville, Alabama; two aunts: Igusta Ingram of El Paso, Texas and Lee Gusta Thomas of Huntsville, Alabama; sister: Barbara Crutcher; brother: Jerry Slaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Murry Ann Birdsong will be Friday, October 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Thomas B. White officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Memorial Gardens (Harvest, Alabama).
