Funeral service for Minister ReMarcus Collins will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. Rebecca Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Stacey Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at St. Ruth Cemetery. Mr. Collins will lie in repose at St. Rebecca P.B. Church one hour prior to funeral service time.
Public viewing will be held Friday, January 30, 2026, from 9:00 AM-7:00 PM at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home.
The Life and Legacy of ReMarcus L. Collins
April 30, 1980 – January 16,2026

On January 16, 2026, our Father who art in heaven whispered in ReMarcus's ear, "Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven," and He opened His gates and ReMarcus LaTrone washome. ReMarcus, affectionately known as "Peewee," was born on April 30, 1980, in Monroe,Louisiana, to the parents of the late Carolyn Sue Collins and Earnest Saucer.
He accepted Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Michael Reed, Sr.
At the age of four, ReMarcus was diagnosed with childhood cancer—Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (A.L.L.). He became one of the first patients treated at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Through groundbreaking research and clinical trials, ReMarcus was miraculously cured at the age of ten, with checkups at St. Jude Research Hospital until his Senior Year; is truly a testimony to God's healing power and perseverance.
In 1989, ReMarcus moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was raised by his uncle and aunt, Isaac and Carolyn Moore. He joined Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Jesse B. Bilberry, Sr. ReMarcus graduated from Glen Oaks Senior High School, Class of 1998. In 2006, ReMarcus accepted his calling to preach and later earned an Associate Degree in Theology in Monroe, Louisiana. Throughout his life, he worked as a salesman for various companies. In 2014, ReMarcus relocated to Huntsville, Alabama with his family to continue his mission of ministry work. Minister ReMarcus Collins became an associate minister at St. Rebecca Primitive Baptist Church in Hazel Green, Alabama, where he served faithfully until his passing. He was devoted to hisministry, church, and community, always praying for others and sharing hope, love, and encouragement with everyone he encountered.
On July 4, 2010, ReMarcus married the love of his life, Jennifer Rucker, and through their union, he joyfully became a devoted father of four. ReMarcus's life was a living testimony of faith, resilience, service, and love. Though he has transitioned from this earthly life, his legacy of faith and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
ReMarcus leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 16 years, Jennifer Rucker-Collins, their three children, Cameron, Tiffany, and Xavier all of Huntsville, AL.; his father, Ernest Saucer of Monroe, LA., his Mother-in-law, Gwendolyn H. Omafuaire of Baton Rouge, LA.; Special Bonus Mother, Anita Hart-Rucker of Baton Rouge, LA.; God Mother, Loretta Jackson of Rayville, LA.; a sister, Lakesha Legarde(Milton) of Baton Rouge, La., two brothers; LaCamron Collins (Nicole) of Kileen, TX., and Rydarius Collins of Bastrop, LA.; Bonus Brother, James Washington (Sanchicaun) of Baton Rouge, LA.; four brother In-Laws, Christopher (Pedra) Davis of BatonRouge, LA., Jeffery Rucker of Baton Rouge, LA.; Lionel (Elaine) Anderson of Houston, TX and Larry Anderson of Houston, TX.; six nephews; Taylan, Jaivan and Braylan Legarde of Baton Rouge, LA.; Devantrae Webb and Jordan Landry of Monroe, LA.; Reason Jereme Collins of Bastrop, LA.; two nieces, Raegan Joi Dickerson of Baton Rouge, LA.; And A'Shaya Lattimer; His special cousins: Carl Collins, Charisma Moore, Terron Moore, Lashandra Moore, Dederick Douglas, Brett Douglas. And a wonderful host of relatives.
He is preceded in death by his son, Tyler Me'Kel Rucker and Father-in-Law, Deacon James Rucker His mother, Carolyn Sue Collins, his maternal grandparents, Alfred Byrd and Idella Clay, three aunts, Belinda Moore, Charlotte Hamilton and Shirley Collins, and two uncles, Sherman Clay andAndrew Moore. His paternal grandmother, Earnestine Saucer and Uncle Ronald Ross.
