Marvin P. Carroll Jr ., 62 departed this life on September 21, 2021.

He is the son of the late Sylvia Brown Carroll and Marvin P. Carroll, Sr. He was born on January 27, 1959 in Washington DC.

Marvin served in the United States Army and spent several years as a manager at DIRECTV.  He was a member of New Jerusalem M. B. Church where he was a member of the Male Chorus.

He is preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, Marcus Carroll and Keith Carroll.

He is survived by his daughter, LaToya Renee (William) Smith; his sons, Jesiah Carroll and Jonah Carroll; his grandchildren, MaKayla Smith and William Smith; brother, Mark Carroll; sisters, Christy (Gus) Davis and Kathy (Ronald) Washington; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Marvin Phillip Carroll, Jr. will be Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ricky Sykes officiating.  Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
