Lussonia Montague-Jones, affectionately known as "LuLu" was born to the late Albert C. Parker and Velma Montague on June 24, 1972 in New Market, Alabama. After an extensive battle with her health, God reached down, and declared her the winner, took her to His everlasting reward on Friday, July 12, 2024. Having confessed Christ at an early age, she was a true servant of God. Lussonia attended J. O. Johnson High School.

After completing the required courses for high school, she received her G.E.D. She attended and obtained her certification in Business Administration from J. F. Drake State Community & Technical College. Lussonia became an Eastern Star March 3, 2012. She was a member of the Glittering Star No. 94, OES, PHA of Madison, Alabama. She was also an active member of the all-women social group, Pink Shellz of Huntsville-Delta Chapter. Lussonia married Marlon Jones, August 21, 2019. Lussonia lived her life to the fullest, always putting others before herself. She was the epitome of kindness, generosity and selfishness. When she loved, she loved for real.

Lussonia's presence will be missed by all that knew her, but her love will live forever in the hearts of all she touched. She leaves to cherish her memories to her family: her husband, Marlon Jones; two sons, Christopher "DeShawn" Montague, Roderick "Squirt" Story, Jr.; three brothers, Anthony (Katrina) Montague, Patrick Montague and Philip Montague; one sister, Doris Cole, all of New Market, AL; one grandchild, Ashai Montague, New Market, AL; four uncles, Anthony (Debbie) Montague, Arlington, TX, Bobby (Patsy) Montague, Huntsville, AL, James (Sally) Montague, New Market, AL, Rodney (Terry) Taylor, Chattanooga, TN; three aunts, Charlene Townsend, Birmingham, AL, Katherine Richburg, Huntsville, AL, a loving and caring aunt, Sally Montague, New Market, AL; father in law, Billy Jones, Triana, AL; one brother in law, Travis Moore, Madison, AL; two sisters in law, Yalonda Edwards, Karen Jones, both of Madison, AL; five stepchildren, Kore Jones, Shania Jones, Jadan Jones, Bryson Jones all of Huntsville, AL and Michael McCullough, Kissimmee, FL three step grandchildren, Aubree Witchard, Amani Witchard and Kiara Jones all of Madison, AL; special cousin-sister, Jacquline Crutcher-Mack, Elyria, OH; a dedicated and lasting friend, Roderick Story, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, great aunts, great uncles and other relatives and friends

Funeral service for Mrs. Lussonia Montague- Jones will be Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Zion Progress Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Hernandez Ford, Officiant. Mrs. Montague-Jones will be placed in the church one hour prior to funeral time. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.

Public Viewing: Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 10 A.M.- 8 P.M. at the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
