A TIME TO BE BORN . . .
Loren Eric Gilbreath was born on June 7, 1969, in Dothan, Alabama. His parents were the late Lawrence Edward Gilbreath and Nera Freeman Gilbreath. He was preceded in death by his special uncle T. David Freeman.
A TIME TO DIE . . .
On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, God whispered and called him to his heavenly home.
A TIME TO PLANT . . .
Loren gave his life to Christ at an early age joining the Gurley Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where he was a member and served on the usher board. He attended Madison County High School and was active in sports as a member of the basketball team. He graduated from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Loren coached youth basketball for several years at the Richard Showers Recreation Center and the Mt. Carmel Recreation Center in Huntsville, Alabama. He was an avid Auburn Tigers and San Francisco 49ers football fan.
Loren began his professional career as a process engineer at AVEX/Benchmark Electronics, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama. He was employed at ADTRAN for 16 years as a supply engineer, and Raytheon as a senior manufacturing engineer until his health failed.
A TIME TO LOVE . . .
While attending Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, Loren met his beautiful wife Sheryl Thomas. On May 30, 1998, Loren and Sheryl exchanged vows in Birmingham, Alabama. They were blessed with one son Joshua, who joined his older half-sister, Keundrea.
A TIME TO CRY . . .
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Sheryl Thomas Gilbreath; one daughter, Keundrea R. Hampton of Charlotte, NC; one son, Joshua Thomas Gilbreath of Huntsville, AL; one brother, Larry (Voncile) Gilbreath of Chesapeake, VA; mother-in-law, Barbara M. Thomas of Birmingham, AL; sister-in-law, Kendyl (James) Davenport of Huntsville, AL; nephew, Ryan (Allison) Gilbreath of Richmond, VA; nieces: Raquel Gilbreath of Richmond, VA, and Jasmine and Jamiyah Davenport both of Huntsville, AL; great-nephew, Perry Gilbreath of Richmond, VA; great-niece, Ella Grace Gilbreath of Richmond, VA; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens with the Reverend Hurley Grissom officiating.
