Public viewing for Mr. Kemo Nelson will be Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home.

Kemo Nelson was born on April 6, 1938 in Inkster, Michigan. His parents were William E. Nelson and Fannie A. Fields. Kemo graduated from high school in Inkster. Kemo was an avid reader. He worked as a cosmetologist for many years. Kemo enjoyed motorcycling and skydiving and had prior service in the United States Army 82 ^nd Airborne Division. Kemo had a passion for uplifting African Americans, and did exactly that, every opportunity he got.

Kemo's siblings William Nelson, Seigmond H. Nelson, Zonda K. Nelson, Marvelious Nelson, Delano N. Nelson and Hedy C. Nelson, all preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved sister and brother Donita A. Tye and Ascension T. Nelson, Sr., and other dear friends. Kemo was loved by his entire family and he will be truly missed.
