John "JT" Thomas Gurley was born February 8, 1956 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey and Elizabeth Gurley.

He departed this life on July 4, 2021.

Mr. Gurley leaves to cherish his memories: four children; Menterra Gurley, Sr. (Ingrid), Anitra Gurley-Vigil (Mitchell), Katrina Toney, and Arlester Sanders (LaToya), all of Huntsville, AL; one sister: Lorine Battle (Henry) of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Archie Gurley (Late Lois Gurley) of Huntsville, AL and Robert Gurley (Dyan) of New Port News, VA; one uncle, Thomas Moore (Jetline); twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; a devoted friend, Louvenia Hearn of Pulaski, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service for Mr. John Thomas Gurley will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Friday, July 9, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
