John Lee Gordon was born on May 3, 1947 in Madison County, Alabama to the union of Percy Cornelius Gordon and Percy Mae (Chunn) Gordon.

John devoted his life to Jehovah God and was a baptized believer.

John was devoted to his children and family, he cherishes them dearly. He had a passion and gift for auto detailing that spanned for over 35 years until his retirement. He was a self-taught musician who entertained many with his guitar and piano playing. He enjoyed and looked forward to visits from his family.

John was preceded in death by: his parents, Percy Cornelius Gordon and Percy Mae (Chunn) Gordon; four brothers, Elmore Gordon, Walter Gordon, Sr., Alex Gordon, and George Gordon; and his granddaughter, Latasha S. Leslie.

John leaves to cherish his many memories: his three loving daughters, Angelina Leslie, Cynthia (Dwight) Seay both of Huntsville, AL, and Lisa Saez of Stafford VA; one loving son, Patrick (Alicia) Gordon of Huntsville, AL; four caring sisters, Tildie Gaines, Bertha Gildon, Hattie Scott, all of Huntsville, AL, and Sadie Martell of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; a devoted special friend/caregiver, Lizzie Cawthorne; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service for Mr. John L. Gordon will be Sunday, October 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Pastor Dwight Clarke officiating.
