Joe David Baker was born on September 15, 1943 in Madison County to the late Joseph Baker and Mattie Lee Hill Baker.  He departed this life on March 9, 2021 with his family members by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ida Scott Baker, sisters Martha Mae Burgess, daughters Theresa Woods and Shannon Fuller.

He leaves to cherish his memories and life: sons, Travis (Anna) Scott, Charles (Quinella) Scott, Johnny Woods; daughters, Vanessa Wolf and Rhonda Malone; sister Sarah Jordan; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Joe Baker will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Derrick Langford officiating.  Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
