Obituary

Jimmy Lee Doughty was born April 7, 1967 to Barbara Doughty and William Doughty, Sr. in  Madison, AL. He entered an ever-lasting peace on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care surrounded by his family.

Jimmy "Mack" Doughty confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with the St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mack graduated from Bob Jones High School and received a certification in mechanics from Madison County Career Tech Center where he learned a trade in auto collision repair which revealed his passion and natural gift for repairing cars. Throughout the community Mack was known as the "mechanic guy," "tint guy," "auto sound guy," "lawn mower guy"; there was nothing he couldn't fix. Before taking ill, Mack enjoyed fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Although he lost the fight to cancer, he fought to the end.  2 Timothy 4:7 reads: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." He was a great brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. His infectious smile and willing heart to help many will never be forgotten. No more suffering no more pain - take your rest. We will truly miss him dearly!

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Barbara Mastin; one son, Markice Grays; one brother, William Doughty, Jr.; three sisters, Georgia Doughty, Mary Allison, Barbara Hurt; one nephew,  Jerry Caudle; his step-father, John Mastin; brother-in-law, Bishop Marcell Johnson; and his grandparents.
