Mr. Jimmy Wilson Battle was born on July 11, 1935, in Madison County, Alabama. He was born to the late Neil and Ruth Battle. He departed this life on February 18, 2022. He graduated from Councill Training High School and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy thereafter.

He confessed hope in Christ and joined the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Charlie Humphrey, Jr. He was a faithful member until his and his wife's health declined. Jimmy was a lover of sports. He played for Hurricane Twisters Baseball Team. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Auburn Football and he loved fishing.

He was preceded in death by his lovely wife of 58 years, Mrs. Pearlie Mae Battle in February 2020.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Barbara Ann (Michael) Jones Meridianville, AL; two sons, Michael (Michelle) Battle, Fayetteville, TN and Waldo Ray Battle, Huntsville, AL; one grandson, Christopher (Felicia) Moore; two great-grandchildren, Chandler Moore and Courtland Moore; three sisters; Mary Cable, Charlotte Patton, Betty (Lonnie) Drake; three brothers, Robert (Georgia) Battle, Charles (Rosa) Battle, and Henry (Lorine) Battle; one sister-in-law; Mary Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Graveside service for Mr. Jimmy Battle will be Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens with Pastor Theodis Ackin officiating.
