God blessed Janice Denise Gideon with 62 years of life. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Freddie and Mary E. Briggs on May 10, 1959.

Janice Gideon received Christ at an early age.

Preceding her in death are: her parents; husband, James Willie Gideon; and two sisters, Mary V. Briggs-Cartwright and Evangelist Jacqueline D. Briggs.

She loved her family deeply. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Nakeishia R. Briggs, Huntsville, AL; one son, James D. Briggs, Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Dorothy J. Hill, Joyce A. Lester, and Evangelist Lula M. Ford host of grandchildren all of Huntsville, AL; and many uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral service for Ms. Janice Briggs Gideon will be Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Theodis Acklin officiating. Interment will follow in the Briggs Cemetery.
