Obituary

Mr. James Eason was born in Huntsville, AL on May 21, 1949.  He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mr. Edmond Eason and Betty Fletcher Eason and siblings, Bobbie Thompson, Mildred Moore, Ella Eason, and Jimmy Eason.

He was joined in marriage to Edith Haley Eason on July 26, 1969.  To this union three daughters were born. James was a good man. He was a strong fighter and fought a good fight until the Lord called him home.

James was a 1969 graduate of Councill Senior High School. He honorably served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. He retired from Goodyear/Dunlop Tire Company, and worked on various other jobs. He was a member and served as a leader at Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years. He loved to talk and was known for his friendliness and ability to make people laugh and smile. The most important fact is that he was a faithful child of God.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife of 52 years, Edith Haley Eason; three daughters, Felicia (Jacob) Eason Culbertson, Audra (Patrick) Eason Henry, Tiffany Eason Tiller; four grandchildren, Carston Culbertson, Tionna Tiller, Braxton Henry, and Blake Henry; two brothers, Shelvie (Odell) Eason and Rev. Hayward (Darcel) Eason; two sisters-in-law, Julia Chandler, Evelyn (David) Porter; five brothers-in-law, Rev. John D. (Lillian) Haley, Jr., Fred Haley, Jerry Haley, Reginald (Barbara) Haley, Rev. Theodore Bone; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
