Irene Denise Jordan was born on October 1, 1949 and she went home to be with the Lord October 12, 2020. She was a strong believer of Christ and was baptized by Reverend Montgomery. She looks down on her remaining family members including, her two sons David and Samuel Walker from Huntsville, Alabama, sister Barbara Ann Montague from New Market, Alabama, brother Charles and Peggy Walker from Huntsville, Alabama, brother James and Tina Montague from Germany, Carl and Sharon Montague from Detroit, Michigan, brother Mickey Montague from Huntsville, Alabama, her grandchildren LaChelle, Damian, and Ashley, her great-grandchildren Marcus and Kitana, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Irene was such a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was so wise and was always handing out bits of wisdom and encouragement when it was really needed. She made sure to provide for her family and be the rock that we needed. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, watching the ole' Westerns on TV, and gardening-with one of her favorites being elephant ears. She instilled her values in us and gave us a true example of what it is to be a God-fearing, loving, patient, and hardworking individual. These values will help us family members push forward to continue life to the fullest. We will miss her more than words can express and she will stay in our hearts and thoughts forever.

Graveside service for Mrs. Irene W. Jordan will be Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hambrick Cemetery.
