Florida Mae was born May 1, 1940 to the late Jimmie and Savannah Goode. Her untimely death was April 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Jerome Goode.

Florida enjoyed cooking delicious cakes, cookies, the BEST sweet potato pies, reading, and spending time with her family. She was very determined and passionate about what she believed. She was a dedicated and baptized servant of Jehovah for over 40 years.

Due to poor health and hearing loss over the last few years, she enjoyed congregational meetings from her home on her caption telephone. She could still receive her spiritual food from the meeting, and dressed for the meeting as if she was there in person. She really loved and appreciated her family and spiritual family to the fullest, but most of all she loved her God Jehovah.

Florida is survived by: her sister, Betsy Draper of Louisville, KY; brother, Freddie Surles (Ada) of New Market, AL; three daughters, Rosalind Coleman, Sonya Coleman and April Copeland (Zachary); and one daughter-in-law, Faye Goode all of Huntsville, AL;  grandchildren, Starsky Barnes, Daphne St. Julian (Christopher), Kenan Goode (Leah), Marcus Coleman, Melissa Coleman, Amanda Coleman, Vincent Coleman, Terrence Coleman, Quinton White, Ariana Goode, and Zahriah Copeland; great grandchildren, Taylor Barnes, Tyler Barnes, Tyce Barnes, Kendrick Goode,  Jayden Coleman, Lauren Coleman, Samyra Coleman, Summer Coleman, Ivianna Coleman, Skylar Coleman, and Dallas Arterberry; and a host of dear family and friends.

Memorial service for Ms. Florida Mae Goode will be Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.  Public Viewing:  Friday, April 9, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
