Erica Davana Pressey

February 22, 1974 – November 20, 2024

Erica Davana Pressey, lovingly known as "Squeaky" by her family, was born on February 22, 1974 to her mother and father, Carmen McElroy (Nwuha) and Robert Lewis Stevenson, in Huntsville, Alabama. On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, her Earthly labor was traded for her Heavenly reward.

Growing up as part of a military family, Erica spent her early years traveling and living in Germany, where she created cherished memories and lasting friendships that she would carry throughout her life.

In 1993, Erica was blessed with her only daughter, Raquel Santos, who quickly became the light of her world and the source of her greatest pride.

Erica honorably served in the United States Army from 1997 to 2000, gaining not only invaluable life experiences but also lifelong friendships. Her service was a testament to her strength, dedication, and unwavering desire to contribute meaningfully to the lives of others.

In 2002, Erica met the love of her life, her soulmate, Keith Pressey, in Newport News, Virginia, following her return from active duty. Their bond grew into a love story spanning over two decades. On September 21, 2008, Erica and Keith were united in marriage, blending their lives and families as Erica lovingly embraced her new children, Kenneth Pressey and Cassandra Pressey, as her own. Together, Keith and Erica shared an inseparable connection that remained steadfast through every moment of life.

Erica's warmth and creativity radiated through her love for bringing people together. She found immense joy in hosting gatherings and creating memorable experiences filled with warmth, beauty, and her signature personal touch. Whether it was family dinners, celebrations, or special occasions with friends, Erica poured her heart into making others feel at home. In 2008, she and Keith channeled her passion into founding All by Design Studio, where she could share her gift of crafting inviting spaces where love, laughter, and joy could thrive. Erica's ability to connect with others through these moments was one of the many ways she left a lasting impact on everyone around her.

In 2015, Erica achieved a significant milestone by earning her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from St. Leo University. That same year, she and her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, a place where Erica thrived. She delighted in the vibrant city life, cherished its many activities, and loved attending Falcons football games with Keith, her forever companion.

On July 8, 2020, Erica embraced a new and beloved role as "GiGi" with the arrival of her first grandchild, Arianna Dismond. Arianna became a beacon of joy in Erica's life, and the two shared a special bond filled with love, laughter, and light.

Erica lived her life with God at the forefront, guided by her unwavering faith and an open heart. She found purpose in "loving on others," whether through her warm hospitality, her creative endeavors, or her endless encouragement of those around her. Erica's presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her legacy will be remembered through the countless lives she touched.

Erica is survived by her devoted husband, Keith Pressey; her loving daughter, Raquel Santos; her beloved mother, Carmen Nwuha; her cherished stepchildren, Cassandra Pressey and Kenneth Pressey (Ebony); her treasured granddaughter, Arianna Dismond; her sister, Tamieka Nwuha; her nephew, Elijah Nwuha; her aunt, Dianne Jones; her aunt, Donna VanHorn (Steve) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
