Elder Curtis Tyrone Toney was born April 6, 1970 to the late Rev. Roosevelt Toney and Lizzie Mae Parham Toney in Madison County, Alabama. He departed this life on September 2, 2025. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age.

Curtis was preceded in death by: his loving and devoted parents, Rev. Roosevelt and Lizzie Toney; one brother, Mark A. Toney; grandmothers, Lizzie Parham and Maddie Gladys Toney; grandfathers, Aaron Toney and Mose Parham, Sr.; great-grandfather, Thomas Toney; aunts, Effie Russell, Ethel Jean Gordon, and Katie Toney; uncles, Moses Parham, Jr., Thomas Toney, Earl Parham, Sr., Bruce Harvell, Larry Chisom, and Shelly Ratliff; one niece, Nakita Toney, and one nephew, Vernon Osam Toney.

Warm memories of Curtis will always be cherished by: his loving and devoted son, Trent Te'on Sales of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Brenda Toney of Huntsville, AL; four brothers, Roosevelt (JoAnn) Toney, Jr., Willie Toney all of Huntsville, AL, Vernon Toney of Hampton, VA; and John (Caranel) Toney of Triana, AL; eight aunts, Minnie (Frank) Wilson, Annie (David) Robinson, Ella Parham all of Huntsville, AL; Mary Harvell, and Pastor Zela Parham both of Madison, AL; Martha (Norman) Gilbert of Athens, AL; Colleen Chisom of Boston, MA; uncle, Leonard Gordon of Decatur, AL; one goddaughter, Shelena Cole; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service for Elder Curtis Tyrone Toney will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Eagles' Nest Ministries Church with Rev. Jeremiah Gardner, Pastor of Matthew House of Praise, Pulaski, Tennessee, eulogist and Elder Curtis Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Elder Toney will lie in repose at Eagles' Nest Ministries Church one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home.
