Earline Taylor Henderson was born to the late James Weekly and Mary Lou Taylor, a carpenter and a homemaker, in Huntsville, Alabama on November 23, 1932.   She was immersed in the Baptist and Catholic traditions that would be her lifelong support from an early age to the end.   She graduated from Alabama A&M University in 1957, 1961, 1966, and 1970 with degrees in Elementary Education, Instructional Leadership, Administrative Sciences, and Library Media.   She accepted a faculty position at William Hooper Council High School in Huntsville, AL.   She also taught/worked at -- West Clinton Elementary School, East Clinton Elementary School, as well as Alabama A&M University (Normal, AL) and Scottsboro High School (Scottsboro, AL) when she retired after 36 years.

Earline was blessed with a large and loving family.  She married her husband Arthur James Henderson, Sr., July 3, 1958, in Huntsville, Alabama.   They had 2 sons together, raising them with love, patience,  discipline, and humility.   She taught them to read, write, and excel in arithmetic.   Earline supported their extracurricular activities and prepared home cooked meals daily, including desserts.   Visiting family and friends regularly was her favorite family past time, in addition to taking short and long trips away and back home.

Earline was a mom and wife at heart.  She was kind and soft spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small or large.   Managing the household and family finances was her specialty.

Earline is survived by her two sons, Arthur James (Dionne) Henderson, Jr., and Lamont (Frances) Henderson; her grandchildren, Aldric Henderson, Lamont (Keria) Henderson, Warren Henderson, Kristen (Jordyn) Burkes, Aloosina, Selena (Mitchell) Meyers, and Kennedi Brown-Willis; and her great grandchildren, Alister Henderson, Hyperion Henderson, Nolan Burkes and Khylee Brown.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur James Henderson, Sr., her brothers, John Taylor, Lawrence Taylor, and Milton Taylor; her sisters, Eliza (Sook) Nance, and Patsy Ann Rice; her friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors, classmates, parents, and grandparents (Samuel Louis Humphrey and Bela Ann Humphrey).

Please be successful, and be in good health, y'all.   God Shed His Grace on All of Us!

We live in an ever-changing world.   So, you gotta keep your mind right, your heart right, your soul right, your body right, and your spirit right … to receive (Mercy & Glory from Above).
