Funeral service for Mr. Deuntae Jarrod Johnson will be Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Scottsboro High School (25053 John T. Reid Parkway - Scottsboro, AL 35768) with The Reverend Andre R. Massengill officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation: Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at North Houston Church of Christ (704 North Houston Street - Scottsboro, AL).

DeUntae's Journey

We are sometimes blessed with sparks in life that glows within our hearts. Such a life and such a voice came in the form of DeUntae Jarrod Johnson, whom God gave us on September 28, 1992 in Scottsboro, Alabama. He was the son of Bonita Talley and Cleveland Johnson. He was a graduate of North Jackson High School of 2011. He was employed by Independent Stave Company in Stevenson, AL.

He departed this life on March 31, 2024. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jacqueline Yvette Talley, Samuel Dean Harris and Vernite Johnson; great-grandmother, Carrie Betty Wellington, Odell Johnson, and Irene Auberry Ellison; aunt, Elendora Talley Fennell; uncles, Barry Talley; Trent and Tony Wellington; cousins, Tony Trimew and Baby D.
