Mr. Derrick Demond Wright, Sr., affectionately known to all as "Doo-Doo" was born November 4, 1976 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Sonya Wright and Benny Banks. He passed this life on September 14, 2012. He was loving and devoted father and friend. He leaves to cherish his memories in our heartgs forever, his three sons: Derrick Demond Wright, Jr., Derrien James Wright, and Darius Dewayne Wright, all of Huntsville, Alabama: two brothers: Darius Wright and Demetrius Wright both of Birmingham,Alabama: his grandmother, Mrs. Lillie Mae Wright of New York, one aunt, Bernetha Wright of Birmingham, Alabama: three uncles: Eddie Wright, Carl Wright and Dewayne Wright, all of Birmingham, Alabama; two special friends who were like brothers: Dorez Battle and Kenneth Allison; many foster brothers and sisters from the Harris Home for Children in Huntsville, Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service for Mr. Derrick Wright were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Thomas Gaines officiating. Interment was in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.
