Mrs. Clara Evon Flint Humes was born February 28,1960. She was received into the Eternal Arms of Christ on Friday, July 19, 2024. Clara accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend John Clay.

Clara is a 1978 graduate of The J.O. Johnson High School.

Clara is preceded in death by her mother: Jimmie Lou Pinchon Flint; father: Milton Flint; maternal grandparents: Jimie and Lula Pinchon; paternal grandparents: Oz Lipscomb and Mamie Flint.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband: Willie Humes; three children: Lavon (Samuel) Flint-Hardin, Terrance Flint, and Quentella Flint; two sisters: Luereen Phillips and Mary (Ronnie) Garner; five brothers: Willie Pinchon, Jr., Bobby Flint, Charles (Nevada) Flint, William (Denise) Flint, and Charlie (Nancy) Flint; twelve grandchildren: Tammaria Flint- Brown, Keoma Brown, LaQuince Love, Javonte Love, Michael Love, London RUsselll, Jamie Sanders, Xaniya Scott, Destin Sanders, John Sanders, Trinity Flint and Armani Flint; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Clara Evon Flint-Humes will be Friday, July 26, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Blackburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (CPCA).  Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery - Deposit, AL).

Mrs. Humes will lie in repose at Blackburn Chapel CPCA one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing for Mrs. Humes will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. -8:00 P.M. with family visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
