Obituary

Charles Edward Alexander was born to James (Jim) and Mattie Nobles Alexander in Guntersville, Alabama on February 7, 1942.

Charles attended and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1960. Charles was drafted into the United States Army in 1967 and was Honorably discharged. Along with serving his country as a member of the Army, he was employed by Stanley Construction.

Charles was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mary Etta Toney. He was a loving husband and farther. He always provided for his family. In his leisure time, Charles enjoyed gardening and watching western classics.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Etta Toney Alexander; parents James (Jim) and Mattie Alexander; siblings: Ethel, James, William, John, and Margaret.

He leaves to cherish his memories his son: Rodney (Neysa) Alexander; grandson: Keonte Alexander; sister: Jeanette (Andrew) Alexander Scissum Mickens; a special friend: Jeffery Petty; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Charles Edward Alexander will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. from the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Troy Garner officiating. Interment will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.

Public Viewing for Mr. Alexander will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. in from the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home with family visitation beginning at 6:00 P.M.
