Bruce Edward Betts Sr., 71, of Louisville KY, departed this life early Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022, at his home, after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnam and Ila Betts; 4 brothers, Burnam (Sonny) Betts, Robert Betts Sr., and Tyrone & Jerome Taliafero.

Bruce was the brother of Dr. Denver A. Betts, Sr. of Huntsville, AL and the grandson of the late Reverend Mark Betts and the late Mrs. Dora Lockhart Betts of Madison, AL.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sue Betts; 3 children, Shae Betts, Bruce E. Betts Jr., and Nyshea Betts (Akeem); 4 grandchildren, Alexis Betts, Brielle Betts, Arielle Betts, Amaii French; 1 great granddaughter, Yari; siblings, Almanza Cross, Willie M. Betts, Sr. (Nashville, TN), Alphia Betts, Jean Betts, Lorenzo (Pauline) Betts, BettyJean (Wardell) Smith, Denver (Tina) Betts, Sr. (Huntsville, AL); 2 long-living, loving aunts, Adrain Carter and Hazel Cunningham (Huntsville, AL), a very special adopted mother, Jerriline Moorman, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
