Obituary

Brenda Joyce Sullivan was born to the late George Elmo Sullivan and the late Lillie Pearl Wade Sullivan on October 24, 1949 in Huntsville, Alabama.  She made her peaceful transition from her earthly life to eternity in heaven on Monday, September 20, 2021 and joined her parents and brother, Terrell O'Shea Sullivan.

Brenda confessed her hope in Christ at a young age and later united with the Fountain of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.  She attended Councill Training School and graduated with the class of 1968.  She and Howard Green were united in holy matrimony in 1969.  To this union, two sons, William (Bill) Green and Kevin Green, were born.  She worked for the Federal Aviation Administration in Atlanta, Georgia for over 30 years and retired on December 31, 2018.  What she loved most was spending time with her family.  She left a lasting impression on everyone she came into contact with due to her kind, gentle, caring, and loving spirit.  Her door was never closed to anyone in need.

Everlasting and loving memories will be cherished by: her two loving sons , William (Bill) Green of Greensboro, North Carolina and Kevin Green of Atlanta, Georgia; five adoring siblings , Leamon Sullivan, George Sullivan, Junior (Carolyn), and Sherrye Jasper (Charleston) of Athens, Alabama, Darryl Sullivan of Huntsville, Alabama, and Pamela Reed (Robert) of Destin, Florida; five beautiful grandchildren , Nicholas, Destiny, Tre', Cooper, and Brooke Green; a devoted niece , Nicole Sullivan-Williams; a special cousin , Beverly Griffis; special friends , Tina Hull, Sheila Robinson, and Gisele Menese, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as numerous friends.

Her infectious smile and giving spirit will be greatly missed.  Although our hearts are sad, we rejoice that she is free from earthly care.

Rest in heavenly peace, Brenda !
