Mr. Billy Wayne Baker was born on October 10, 1959, to the late Mr. Johnnie B. Baker and Mrs. Eddie Mae Woods Baker. He departed this life on May 23, 2024.

He confessed hope in Christ at a young age and joined Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in New Market, AL.

He was employed at United Platten, Co., J. T. Schrimsher Construction Co., Reliable Construction, Cinram, and Goodman Manufacturing Company.

Billy is preceded in death by his father, Johnnie B. Baker, mother, Eddie Mae Woods Baker, nephews, James Briggs, Karson McLean and Kameron Wilson.

He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his siblings: Linda (Jackie) Garner, Johnny Baker, and Jacqueline Wilson, of New Market, AL, Jinnie (Rev. Cornelious) Adams, of Toney, VaKeshia Baker, of Huntsville, AL; Nieces and Nephews: Jarvis Baker of Goldsboro, NC, Jackie (Tammy) Garner, Jr., Jennifer Baker, Jessica Baker, Christopher Garner, Isaac Adams, and Isandria Wilson, Jordyn Rutledge, and Jade Jackson; Great-nieces and nephew, Aalazia Robinson, Trenton Garner, Kasady Braxton, Trevion Caudle, Caleb Garner, Kimaya Baker, Michael Braxton, Jayden Dickerson, Logan Garner, Kylee Baker, Jayson Wilson, Landon Wilson; Aunts and Uncles: Shelby Pope, Kenneth Baker, Willie Jo Hereford, Verlean Baker, Delores (Joe) Hudson, and Alma Baker of Huntsville, AL, Birdie (Willie) Montague, of New Market, AL, Rita (Keith) Jordan, of Oakland, CA, Margaret (Howard), of Dallas, TX, David (Debbie) Baker of Charlotte, NC., and Lavina Baker, of Mobile, AL; special cousin Joyce (Robert) Fearn, of Huntsville, AL, and a host cousins, family, and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Billy Wayne Baker will be Friday, May 31, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Walter Nettles officiating. Interment will follow in Blutchers Ford Cemetery.
