Betty Hughes
Roberson
Dec 21, 1948 — Jul 16, 2024
While we mourn the loss of Mrs. Betty Jo, we also celebrate a life filled with love and cherished memories. Today, we honor and pay tribute to a beautiful individual who has left an incredible mark on our hearts.
Mrs. Betty Jo Hughes Roberson was born on December 21, 1948, to the late Thomas Hughes and the late Helen Hereford Hughes of Huntsville, Alabama. Betty Jo made her final transition on the morning of July 16, 2024, succumbing to complications from a stroke.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her husband: Tony C Roberson of Cherokee, Alabama; two sons: Tony Hughes and Michael Roberson of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters: Mary Ann Hughes Monterio of Providence, Rhode Island and Angela (Johnny) Johnson of Washington, Arkansas; brother: Robert "Winkie" Sullivan of Huntsville, Alabama.
Betty lived her life the best she knew and was kind and generous to everyone she knew. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort knowing she is no longer suffering. Betty Jo loved her family, cooking, and her career. She retired after thirty-six (36) years and devoted her time to caring for her loved ones.
She leaves to cherish her forever loving memory her children: Steven Roberson and Vickie Roberson both of Huntsville, Alabama; three sisters: Sharon L. Peavy of Kentucky, Angela Hughes of Athens, Alabama, and Saundra (Stanley) Murray of Decatur, Alabama; brother: Bobby L. Hereford of Huntsville, Alabama; special niece: Holly M. Hughes of Huntsville, Alabama; special friend: Robert Childress of Huntsville, Alabama; and a bonus son: Tony "Tank" Holmes.
