Funeral service for Mr. Anthony Lavern Lanier will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 1:30 P.M. at the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis B. Jones serving as the Eulogist.

Anthony Lavern "Wick" Lanier was born January 12, 1961, in Madison County, Alabama, to the late Peter and Annie Pearl Lanier. He passed his life on Wednesday, November, 27, 2024.
From a boy, Wick had an easy smile that reflected the warmth and love he had for his family. Although his lifestyle was often misunderstand, Wick's indomitable spirit outweighed the challenges he encountered.
As a child, he attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Triana, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memory a son: Jamichael Cox; two bonus sons: Anthony Cox and Lewis Robinson all of Dadeville, Alabama; a special friend: Vickie Logan of Huntsville, Alabama; five sisters: Greta (Jesse) Duncan of Huntsville, Alabama, Lisha Binford of Triana, Alabama, Sherry (Andre) Channel of Harvest, Alabama, Georgia Smith and Carolyn Bigbee both of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers: Samuel Toney and Lonnie (Amy) Toney both of Harvest, Alabama; three special aunts: Marvelene Freeman and Carol Toney both of Triana, Alabama, and Gladys Bransford of Houston, Texas; special cousins: Marie Brown, David (Faye) Freeman, Jr., Bryan Freeman, Terry (Alexis) Toney, Alicia "Shay" Toney, Shawn Freeman, Bertha Harper, and Mary Jean Leslie; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
